Marvel’s next big spectacle, Avengers: Doomsday, is generating buzz worldwide, and Indian audiences can now catch the film’s trailer in theatres alongside Spider‑Man: Brand New Day from July 30. The trailer debuted at San Diego Comic-Con 2026 and has already sparked discussions among fans and industry insiders alike.
In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Academy Award‑winner Robert Downey Jr. shared his first impressions after seeing a preliminary cut of the movie. “It is absolutely fantastic,” Downey said, adding, “I think we may redeem ourselves yet.” His comments suggest that the film could be a turning point for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, a sentiment echoed by the Russo brothers.
Joe and Anthony Russo revealed in a People interview that Downey surprised them by voicing Doctor Doom in the trailer. “That was something that Robert surprised us with one day,” Anthony recalled. “We were talking about all the details of the character — the voice, of course, is a key part of it, especially in the mask. So one day I think it was in the trailer, we were just sort of talking about some ideas and he broke out into the voice. And we knew at that moment, that was it.”
Joe added that Downey’s performance as the iconic villain stood out immediately, noting the actor’s distinct accent and comparing the moment to Downey’s famous “I Am Iron Man” finger‑snap. He described the delivery as “incredibly memorable,” highlighting Downey’s track record of creating unforgettable cinematic scenes.
Directed by the Russo brothers and produced by Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, and Jonathan Schwartz, Avengers: Doomsday boasts a star‑studded ensemble that includes Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Pedro Pascal, and others. The film’s trailer will appear in multiple language versions when the movie opens in theatres on July 30, giving fans a preview of the epic showdown that awaits.
