Cinema VinesVeteran actor Anupam Kher announced on Instagram that shooting for Sooraj R. Barjatya’s upcoming romantic musical family drama, Yeh Prem Mol Liya, has wrapped. The post, which featured a series of photos and videos from the set, was geotagged at Banganga, Walkeshwar, and included a heartfelt note to the filmmaker.
In his message, Kher reflected on a relationship that dates back to Barjatya’s days as an assistant on Kher’s debut film, Saaransh. He said, “I’ve known Sooraj from the time he was an assistant on my very first film, Saaransh. Since then, we have shared the journey of more than eight films together.” The veteran praised Barjatya for consistently creating films that celebrate Indian family values and relationships, noting that the director has “protected and celebrated the ethos of Indian families, relationships, compassion and values without ever compromising on honesty or emotion.”
Kher described Yeh Prem Mol Liya as “a film with heart, grace,” adding that the story touched him from the first narration. He thanked the entire cast and crew for making the experience memorable and expressed excitement for audiences to see the film in theatres when it releases on November 27, 2026. The film stars Ayushmann Khurrana as the lead, alongside Sharvari, marking their first on‑screen pairing. It is produced by Rajshri Productions in association with Mahaveer Jain Films, with music composed by Himesh Reshammiya, who reunites with Barjatya after Prem Ratan Dhan Payo (2015).
After Kher’s post, his niece Vrinda Kher commented, “I don’t know if others have noticed but bade papa you look soo happy on a Barjatya set! Even when we visited you on their set in Mumbai and now here. There is such an ease and a spark in you when you are there. It’s beautiful.” Kher replied warmly, “You are absolutely right my dearest.”
