Veteran Malayalam actor Mammootty has sent his best wishes to a new face in the industry, Vismaya Mohanlal, as she steps onto the silver screen for the first time. The 66‑year‑old star posted a short message on X, saying, “My heartfelt wishes and blessings to dear Vismaya Mohanlal who is making her acting debut tomorrow with Thudakkam.” The film opened in theatres on Friday, 7 August 2026.
Vismaya, the daughter of celebrated actor Mohanlal, has largely stayed out of the public eye despite her prominent family background. John ISC. Editing is credited to Chaman Chakko, and production design is by Santhosh Raman. Action sequences are choreographed by Yannick Ben and Stunt Silva.
Mammootty’s supportive note adds a familiar voice to this milestone, underscoring the significance of Vismaya’s debut within a family that has shaped Malayalam cinema for decades. As the film rolls out, it is expected to attract considerable attention both for its storyline and for the fresh talent it introduces.
