Keerthy Suresh shot back at an Instagram user who claimed the actress had no substantial roles and was resorting to dancing in films. The user also spread unverified rumours that Keerthy would appear in a special number in Nani’s upcoming Telugu film, The Paradise, mistakenly calling it a Kannada production. Rather than addressing the claims, Keerthy posted a short video on Frontvoods TV where she responded in Tamil, saying, “Vera level ponga! Chinna correction. Nani nadippathu Telugu. Kannada alla.” The remark, which translates to “It’s on another level! Just a small correction: Nani is acting in a Telugu film, not a Kannada one,” was met with laughter and fire emojis from fans.
Keerthy and Nani have worked together twice, first in the 2017 commercial success Nenu Local and later in the 2023 hit Dasara. The pair remain close friends, and Nani is now collaborating with Dasara director Srikanth Odela on The Paradise. The film’s teaser was released Thursday and does not mention Keerthy, though the cast list includes Raghav Juyal, Mohan Babu, Kayadu Lohar, Tanikella Bharani, Sonali Kulkarni, Sampoornesh Babu, Eeshwari Rao, and others. After two postponements, the movie is slated for a September 24 theatrical release.
Meanwhile, Keerthy’s own projects are building momentum. She is set to release Dorothy, directed by Karthik Subbaraj, on September 25, directly competing with The Paradise. The film, Subbaraj’s tenth, stars Rishikanth and Sanath with music by Ilaiyaraaja. In Telugu, she will soon appear in Rowdy Janardhana, directed by Ravi Kiran Kola and co‑starring Vijay Deverakonda; the release is still uncertain after a December schedule. She is also attached to Anil Ravipudi’s untitled project featuring Venkatesh, Kalyan Ram, and Krithi Shetty, as well as other titles such as Sathyavan Savithiri, Akka, and Raftaar.
Despite the online backlash, Keerthy remains focused on her work. Her background includes a Master’s degree in Journalism and over ten years of experience as a field reporter and sub‑editor for various print and digital media organisations. The actress’s quick‑witted response to the unfounded rumours has reinforced her reputation for handling criticism with humour and confidence.
