Spider-Man: Brand New Day; Crosses ₹423 Crore at India Box Office

Tom Holland’s latest Spider‑Man adventure, Spider‑Man: Brand New Day, has smashed records at the Indian box office, crossing the ₹423 crore net mark and the ₹505 crore gross threshold in just eleven days. The film, which debuted on July 30, opened with a massive ₹60.60 crore on its first day, supported by a 72.3% occupancy across 12,765 screens. By the end of its opening weekend, the superhero hit ₹77.75 crore on Sunday, the biggest single‑day haul yet, and accumulated ₹334.75 crore net from days one to eight.

The second weekend continued the momentum, with Day 9 adding ₹15.00 crore at 47.7% occupancy and Day 10 jumping to ₹31.00 crore at 68.4%. Sunday of that week delivered ₹34.70 crore, bringing the three‑day total to nearly ₹81 crore. Despite a 78.1% drop on the second Monday, the film still pulled in ₹7.60 crore net, keeping its overall occupancy at 38.6%.

These figures make Spider‑Man: Brand New Day the highest‑grossing Hollywood film in India, surpassing James Cameron’s Avatar: The Way of Water in just eleven days. It also becomes the first Hollywood movie to cross the ₹500 crore gross mark in the country. The trade tracker Sacnilk reports the film’s net total now stands at ₹423.05 crore, with a gross of ₹505.93 crore.

The movie is the fourth standalone feature starring Tom Holland as the friendly neighbourhood Spider‑Man, set four years after the events of No Way Home. After Doctor Strange’s spell erases his memory from those around him, Peter Parker leads a solitary life, struggling to be remembered by friends like MJ (Zendaya) and Ned (Jacob Batalon). The film’s strong opening, positive word‑of‑mouth, and continued audience interest have kept it thriving beyond its initial release wave.
