After a run in theatres that began on 17 July 2026, the Tamil romantic‑comedy drama Anbe Diana is set to reach home audiences on the streaming platform SonyLIV. The film, written and directed by its lead actor Pari Elavazhagan, follows the romance between a Telugu‑speaking young man from a conservative family and an Anglo‑Indian woman in the neighbourhood of Perambur. Their love story is complicated by family expectations, long‑standing rivalries and social prejudices that the couple must navigate.
Pari Elavazhagan stars opposite Ramya Ranganathan, with supporting performances from Roja Selvamani, Chetan KA and Parithabangal Gopi, among others. The project was produced by Million Dollar Studios, Neo Castle Creations and Era Entertainments, with Sathya Karikalan, Era Saravanan and Yuvaraj Ganesan credited as producers. Music was composed by Bharath Sankar, while Shelley Calist handled cinematography and Partha MA was the editor. Additional crew members included art director Mahendran, sound designers T Uday Kumar, Renjith Venugopal and Saravana Kumar, stunt choreographer Don Ashok, and VFX teams RENDERHOOD and Anandharaj R.
Following its theatrical release, fans have been eager for a digital premiere. Current reports indicate that the film will begin streaming on SonyLIV on 28 August 2026, with availability in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi. An official confirmation from SonyLIV or the makers has not yet been issued, so the August 28 date remains the most reliable estimate for the OTT launch.
Once the film is live on SonyLIV, viewers who missed the cinema experience will be able to watch the story of cross‑cultural love and generational conflict from the comfort of their homes. The platform is expected to release an official update soon, confirming the exact premiere date and the full range of language options available for the film.
