Bigg Boss Malayalam is set to launch a new pre‑show called Agnipareeksha on August 15, a selection programme that will sift through 40 commoners who have qualified through auditions. The 21‑episode series will give these hopefuls a chance to prove themselves in a series of tasks, with their performances and audience votes determining who earns a spot in the main Season 8 house.
Telecast details have been released: episodes will air on Asianet and JioHotstar, Monday to Friday at 10 PM and on weekends at 9 PM. The schedule aims to build anticipation for the main show while giving viewers a steady stream of new content leading up to the launch.
The judging panel features former Bigg Boss Malayalam contestants Akhil Marar, Ranjini Haridas and Riyas Salim, adding credibility and familiarity for fans. Reneesha Rahiman, who appeared in Season 5, will host the programme, guiding the contestants through the challenges and keeping the audience engaged.
Unlike previous seasons, where commoners were introduced directly as housemates, Agnipareeksha serves as a dedicated pre‑show that tests and narrows the field before the official start of Season 8. This new format marks a departure from earlier Malayalam editions, which had not employed a separate selection show of this nature.
With the premiere set for August 15 at 9 PM, viewers can look forward to watching the commoners battle for a coveted place in the Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 8 house, as the show promises drama, competition and a fresh approach to the franchise.
