Sunita Ahuja Reacts to Govinda's Rumoured Girlfriend; Slams Actor for Lack of Standard

In a recent incident that has taken the Bollywood gossip circuit by storm, veteran actor Govinda was photographed at Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport with a woman named Komal Rani Swarnkar. The sighting sparked a wave of speculation online, with many fans labeling Komal as Govinda’s alleged girlfriend. The rumours were amplified when a paparazzo page posted a video of the pair, prompting Govinda’s wife, Sunita Ahuja, to step into the conversation.

Sunita, known for her candid and outspoken nature, reacted sharply to the rumours. In the video, she was asked about Govinda’s association with Komal and the possibility of a film collaboration. She replied, “The picture must be made first (laughs). Promotions occur after a film is made. But without promotions…now what can I say?” She went on to criticize Komal’s appearance, saying, “He’s roaming with a girl his daughter’s age; he should be ashamed. He must have a standard. Your sugar daddy is so rich; at least dress properly. Look at us dressed so stylishly.” She summed up her frustration by stating, “Very bad, he’s lost his mind.”

Komal Rani Swarnkar, who had not been a household name before this incident, has a modest following of 15.5k on Instagram and is reportedly from Uttar Pradesh. Reports suggest that she is set to appear in Govinda’s upcoming projects, “Roopa” and “Duniyadari,” according to Money Control.

Govinda and Sunita Ahuja have been married since 1987 and have two children, Tina and Yashvardhan. This is not the first time Govinda has faced accusations of infidelity. Earlier this year, Sunita spoke publicly about the issue on the Netflix show “Lock Upp,” where she was questioned by Shilpa Shinde. Sunita defended her husband, stating that those who question them have not experienced their relationship and should remain silent. She later told Ram Kapoor that “He is my husband, let him do. No other person has the right to comment. I am his wife.” She added, “Don’t you talk about my family! Mera pati hai. Woh 50 se affair kare, tere baap ka kya ja raha hai.”

Despite the controversy, Sunita’s background in journalism—holding a Master’s degree and having worked for prominent outlets such as The Times of India—has given her a platform to voice her perspective. Her recent comments have reignited discussions about marital fidelity, public scrutiny, and the pressures faced by Bollywood couples in the age of instant media.
