Cinema VinesDuring the first circle of the popular reality show The Traitors Season 2, comedian Abhishek Malhan played a pivotal role in convincing the Circle of Shaq to vote for stand‑up star Munawar Faruqui, leading to Faruqui’s unexpected eviction. The move shocked fans and viewers alike, as Faruqui had been perceived as an innocent participant throughout the episode.
Following his elimination, Faruqui launched a verbal attack on the remaining contestants, accusing them of insecurity and claiming that he had been targeted repeatedly. He also took aim at Malhan, referring to him as “Fukra Insaan” on his Instagram Stories. Faruqui wrote, “I have cried a lot and then had a thought, that if someone really wants to win it so bad then next year they should go to Alliance, because that is where group work is the game.” He added that the name he earned on the show was still being discussed even after his exit.
Malhan responded to Faruqui’s dig with his own Instagram Stories. In one post, he posed in his Traitors costume and captioned, “Kaun ro raha h bhai (Who is crying)?” In another, he wrote, “Bolne do takleef hua hai bechare ko (Let him say, poor thing has got hurt).” The exchange highlighted the growing tension between the two stars.
The episode also revealed the real traitors in the house: Kullu, Krystle D’Souza, and Harman Singha, with Shahneel Gill being recruited as the fourth traitor in the second episode. When host Karan Johar asked Faruqui to clarify whether he was a traitor or an innocent, Faruqui became emotional, shouting, “F*** off, guys! I was playing the game! I wanted to play it well! I am an innocent! F*** off, insecure bunch of people.” He accused the others of being scared and urged them to recognize the true traitor among them.
New episodes of The Traitors Season 2 air on Amazon Prime Video every Thursday, keeping fans on edge as the drama unfolds. The episode’s events underscore the high stakes of the show and the intense rivalries that can emerge when contestants are pitted against one another.
