Soundous Moufakir Blasts Shahneel Gill Over Traitors S2 Elimination; Accuses of Personal Bias

In a dramatic turn on the second day of Season 2 of the reality‑drama series The Traitors, contestant Soundous Moufakir found herself eliminated in a move that has sparked intense debate among fans and fellow players alike. The decision, orchestrated by fellow traitor Shahneel Gill—brother of Indian cricketer Shubman Gill—was described by Soundous as a “murder” of an innocent participant, a claim she made during an exclusive interview with HTon Google.

Soundous, who was initially recruited as one of the traitors on Day One, expressed her frustration at the lack of a legitimate reason for her removal. She stated, “What made me feel bad is that there wasn't any valid reason for voting me out! The valid reason I believe is true is that I was eliminated because Shahneel Gill wouldn't let any other girl who is more entertaining, confident, and beautiful be there. So I was more of a personal threat to her rather than a game threat!” The allegation suggests that personal bias, rather than strategic gameplay, influenced the elimination.

During the same interview, other contestants such as Munawar Faruqui, Harman Singha, and Karan Singh Magic weighed in on the fairness of the decision. Munawar, who was the first contestant to be eliminated from the circle of “shaq,” laughed at Soundous’s remarks but later praised her courage, saying, “She is such a smart girl, and I really respect her for putting across her point.” Harman, who was also a traitor, reflected on the pressure of the role, noting that the game can be “so much pressure to be a traitor honestly!”

Harman also offered a shoutout to fellow contestants Rhea Chakraborty and Kullu for their support, and acknowledged Parul Gulati’s role in identifying him as a traitor. He added, “Parul Gulati had somehow figured it out that I was the traitor! She went to so many people and made her case. The gang of innocents really woke up after they took out Munawar, and thought it’s time to see who is the traitor.”

The controversy has reignited discussions about the integrity of the show’s elimination process, with viewers questioning whether personal vendettas are influencing outcomes. New episodes of The Traitors Season 2 will continue to air every Thursday, promising more twists and revelations as the game progresses.
