Cinema VinesLock Upp Season 2 champion Shreya Kalra has taken to social media to defend her win against accusations that the reality series was scripted and biased. Fans celebrated her victory, but a faction of online users questioned the fairness of the outcome, claiming the show favored her. During a recent Instagram Q&A, a fan asked, “People are saying you didn’t deserve it. It was biased.” Kalra replied, “You tell me if not me then who?” and then challenged the critics by asking why similar concerns were not raised over other twists, such as contestant re‑entries and the shifting of advantages.
Kalra highlighted specific moments that, she argued, should have prompted the same scrutiny. She pointed to the return of Akanksha Choudhary, who had been evicted by the inmates’ vote and later re‑entered the house a week later, and to the comeback of Yogesh Rawat and Harshad Chopda, who were evicted but brought back as wild‑cards just two weeks before the finale. She also mentioned the semi‑final task that gave her the power to decide who would be eliminated immediately; she chose Shivangi Joshi, but the decision ultimately went to Harshad, who gave his spot to Shivangi and was later eliminated. Kalra concluded, “Why didn’t people call the show biased when contestants were brought back? Why didn’t they call the show biased when they were kept in the secret room? She said she was unaware of the connection until two weeks into the show when comments surfaced accusing her of bias, and she clarified that she had no prior knowledge of Kalra’s affiliation with Qyuki.
The finale of Lock Upp 2 saw the top five contestants—Shreya Kalra, Shivangi Joshi, Yogesh Rawat, and two others—compete in tasks to determine the top three. A subsequent media and “janta ki voice” Q&A round, featuring reality‑show personalities like Prince Narula and Awez Darbar as well as actors such as Mannara Chopra, decided the final two. Kalra and Joshi emerged as the winners, with Kalra lifting the trophy and securing a ₹1 crore cash prize.
