Parul Gulati, who played an innocent contestant on Amazon Prime Video’s reality‑drama The Traitors Season 2, has laughed about the way she was “fully played” by fellow contestant Aaditya Kulshreshth, known on the show as Kullu. In an exclusive chat with Hindustan Times, Gulati recalled how she had never suspected Kullu of being a traitor, even though he was one of the three traitors revealed in the season, alongside Krystle D’Souza and Shahneel Gill.
During the fifth episode, Gulati tried to convince Kullu that Krystle was the real threat. Instead of backing her claim, Kullu used his knowledge of the game’s psychology to steer the circle toward her own agenda. The vote that followed saw Kullu casting the decisive ballot that eliminated Gulati, thereby saving Krystle. Gulati later described the moment as a “brain‑game” where Kullu “played me” and she “had fun being played.”
When asked why she never doubted Kullu, Gulati said, “He is so smart from day one. He understood the brain‑game of everyone on the show, before he was even chosen as one of the traitors. He knew who he could play, and he really played me in that episode!” Kullu, in turn, explained that his strategy was to protect the original traitors and keep the game moving forward. He added, “I was always playing for the traitors as a team. I wanted to do my best to save Krystle from this elimination because I wanted the OG traitors to go ahead.”
After Gulati’s exit, Kullu was voted out in the next episode, leaving Krystle and Shahneel as the remaining traitors. New episodes of the show continue to drop every Thursday on Amazon Prime Video. The episode dynamics highlight how alliances and betrayals can shift rapidly in a high‑stakes social experiment.
Senior Content Producer Santanu Das of Hindustan Times, who covered the episode, noted that the drama underscores the complex social strategies at play in The Traitors. Das, a seasoned film critic, often writes about how “good” stories can become “great” when they incorporate unexpected twists like those seen in this season.
