In a recent interview with India Today, Govinda’s manager Shashi Sinha dismissed the allegations, saying there is no second marriage in the works and that Sunita’s statements are a result of “mind games.” He added, “There is nothing like this, nor will it happen. There is no second marriage happening.” Sinha further suggested that if Govinda were truly planning a new marriage, he would have filed for divorce himself rather than Sunita. He emphasized that both parties are mature and that they want the best for themselves and their children, hoping the situation will resolve without harming their kids.
Sunita Ahuja, in a phone conversation with Rakhi Sawant, said she withdrew the divorce case because “Govinda and Komal were planning to get married.” She explained, “I withdrew the divorce case yesterday because they were planning to get married.” The claim came after the couple was spotted together at an airport, prompting Sunita to label Govinda “Komal’s sugar daddy” and question their relationship. Govinda later warned Sunita against defamation and urged her to stay within limits while speaking to the press, accusing her of being backed by a Bollywood gang.
Govinda and Sunita married in 1987. In 2024, Sunita filed for divorce citing adultery, cruelty and desertion under Section 13 of the Hindu Marriage Act. The petition was withdrawn on August 19, 2024, when Sunita appeared at Mumbai’s Bandra Family Court with her son Yashvardhan. Shashi Sinha confirmed that the withdrawal had been pending for two years and that the case was finally over.
Shashi Sinha expressed shock at Sunita’s claims, stating, “I am hearing this from you. Aisa kuch nahi hai aur nahi hoga.” He reiterated that both Govinda and Sunita are mature people who want the best for their children and hoped the negativity surrounding the case would subside. The situation remains a focal point of Bollywood gossip, with fans and media closely monitoring any further developments.
