Kartik Aaryan’s knee surgery a success; he’s back home and on the mend

Actor Kartik Aaryan has successfully undergone knee surgery after an on‑set injury while filming an action sequence for his upcoming project with director Kabir Khan. The operation, which was completed without complications, has allowed the star to return home and focus on recovery.

The injury occurred during a stunt for the untitled sports drama, in which Aaryan is slated to play a kickboxing coach. The film, inspired by the real‑life kickboxer Tajamul Islam, marks the second collaboration between the actor and Kabir Khan following their previous work together on Chandu Champion. Aaryan had been undergoing intensive physical training for the demanding role when the knee injury happened.

According to a spokesperson, the actor will be resting at home after the successful surgery and is expected to return to the set soon. The incident may temporarily affect his shooting schedule, but the spokesperson confirmed that he is on the mend and will resume work as soon as his recovery allows.

Despite the setback, Aaryan remains a key figure in the film industry, having recently won the Best Actor award at the 72nd National Film Awards for his portrayal of Paralympic gold medallist Murlikant Petkar in Chandu Champion. The upcoming sports drama also marks his debut as a producer under his banner, Dopamine Studios.
