Cinema VinesBollywood star Kareena Kapoor has brushed aside swirling pregnancy rumors that surfaced after a paparazzo video showed her stepping out of a gym on August 21 with a noticeable baby bump. The clip, which featured her bodyguard shielding her with an umbrella, quickly went viral and sparked speculation that the actress is expecting her third child with husband Saif Ali Khan.
When the actress appeared in the city the next day for a photo session with the paparazzi, she reacted to their apology with a light‑hearted quip, saying, “Pagal kar dete ho tumlog,” meaning “You guys drive us mad.” She then laughed off the buzz on Instagram, posting a photo of a man with a bloated stomach set to the song “Chocolate, Lime Juice” from Hum Aapke Hain Koun, and added laughing and pizza emojis, hinting that food might have been the cause of the perceived bump.
Adding to the dismissal, Kareena’s sister‑in‑law and jewellery designer Saba Pataudi posted on social media that the rumors were “a bad angle … or a bad hair day” and urged fans to respect privacy. Pataudi also noted that the actress has been encouraging her to have a second child, but that was just a wish.
Despite the rumors, Kareena confirmed that her two sons, Taimur and Jehangir, are more interested in sports than acting. The actress will soon return to the silver screen in Meghna Gulzar’s upcoming drama Daayra, which explores crime, justice, and public reaction to shocking acts. The film, starring Prithviraj Sukumaran alongside Kapoor, is slated for release on September 18.
