Cinema VinesOn August 24, 2024, Ajay Devgn revealed the final chapter of the Hindi thriller saga that began with the 2015 remake of the Malayalam hit Drishyam. The new installment, titled Drishyam The Conclusion, will hit Indian cinemas on October 2, 2026, bringing the story of Vijay Salgaonkar to a close after two previous films that kept audiences guessing with twists and moral dilemmas.
Devgn, who reprises his role as the astute family man from Goa, unveiled the first poster of the film, which carries the line “Mera Sach, Mera Sahi, Sirf Meri Family Hai” – a mantra that encapsulates Vijay’s unwavering commitment to protecting his loved ones. The teaser, released in December 2025, features Devgn’s voiceover reflecting on the many labels society has thrown at him, from criminal to hero, and emphasizes that his truth and rights revolve solely around his family.
The movie is a joint venture between Star Studio18 and Panorama Studios. Director Abhishek Pathak returns to helm the project, co‑writing the script with Aamil Keeyan Khan and Parveez Shaikh. Production is led by Alok Jain, Ajit Andhare, Kumar Mangat Pathak, and Pathak himself. Filming has wrapped, and the film is now in post‑production.
Alongside Devgn, the ensemble cast includes Tabu as IG Meera Deshmukh and Shriya Saran as Nandini, both reprising their roles from earlier films. Rajat Kapoor also returns, while Prakash Raj and Jaideep Ahlawat join the lineup in new characters. The narrative follows Vijay’s continued use of wit and strategy to shield his family from legal repercussions following a murder that occurred in their home.
The Drishyam franchise has proven to be a commercial juggernaut. The original 2015 film earned approximately ₹110 crore worldwide, while its 2022 sequel pulled in nearly ₹342 crore, cementing Vijay Salgaonkar’s status as a beloved protagonist. With the release of Drishyam The Conclusion, the Hindi version of the series will finally bring the saga to an end.
