Parul Gulati Faces Cheating Allegations; Contestants Claim Outside Info

Parul Gulati, a contestant on the reality series The Traitors, is now facing accusations of cheating after fellow players Shahneel Gill and Krystle D’Souza claimed she received outside information that helped her identify the show’s traitors. The allegations surfaced on social media, where the two former competitors posted videos expressing their disbelief at Gulati’s seemingly perfect gut instincts.

Gulati had earned praise from many fans for correctly naming both traitors—Harman Singha and Krystle D’Souza—before her own eviction. In earlier episodes, she even threatened to quit her business if her intuition proved wrong, a statement that some viewers found suspicious while others applauded her strategic play.

Krystle D’Souza’s video, posted on Instagram, showed her shocked that Gulati could supposedly “leak” information from within the game. She questioned how Gulati was able to identify the traitors without providing any valid reasoning, saying, “It is so unfair on the rest of the 20 contestants, the innocents who want to use their brains to play the game and catch the traitors, and the traitors who are trying to survive and play their game.” D’Souza also criticized Gulati for putting her business and life on the line based on a gut feeling, implying that the confidence was due to an external leak.

Shahneel Gill echoed these concerns in an Instagram post, calling the alleged behavior “match fixing.” He explained that each contestant is assigned a shadow—a production staff member who supplies them with everything they need. Gill alleged that a shadow was paid to leak inside information to Gulati, turning her gut feelings into a “source.” He said, “Every morning, I have a gut feeling this person is a traitor. Where does this gut feeling come from? I also wanted it. And boom, it's correct.” Gill added, “Imagine going on The Traitors and the traitors are the only ones playing the fair game.”

Following the videos, Gulati responded on Instagram with a cryptic post that seemed to address the accusations, though she did not provide a detailed rebuttal. The controversy has sparked debate among fans and viewers about the integrity of the show and the fairness of its competitive format.
