Shantanu Maheshwari sparks Mumbai’s creative minds; Arena Animation’s Perspectives 2026 draws 1,000+ students

Arena Animation, a leading name in animation, gaming, visual effects and digital media education and a training arm of Aptech Limited, wrapped up its Mumbai edition of Perspectives 2026, the company’s flagship annual industry‑engagement platform. The event drew more than 1,000 students, industry professionals, creative leaders and well‑known personalities from the Media & Entertainment ecosystem, all converging to celebrate 30 years of creative excellence.

The theme of this year’s edition was to inspire the next generation of creative professionals by linking them with real‑world industry perspectives, emerging AI‑powered creative workflows, new technologies and career opportunities within the fast‑growing AVGC‑XR sector – covering Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming, Comics and Extended Reality.

Keynote speakers included Dr. Amit Behl, the acclaimed actor and television personality; Shantanu Maheshwari, a versatile actor, dancer and performer; actor Aditya Deshmukh, known across Marathi and Hindi entertainment; Vaibhav More, Director, Designer & Animator, who delivered a session on AI in Animation & VFX; Vineeth S, Country Manager – Media & Entertainment at Ark Infosolutions; Sandip Weling, Whole‑time Director & Chief Business Officer, Global Retail Business at Aptech Limited; and Shajan Samuel, Sr. Vice President & National Sales Head – Arena Animation at Aptech Limited. Their talks blended industry learning with immersive student experiences through AI demonstrations, celebrity interactions and talent showcases.

Students gained firsthand insights into the evolving creative economy, the growing influence of AI in content creation, emerging industry skill requirements and career opportunities across animation, VFX, gaming, digital design and filmmaking. The celebrity interactions further inspired participants with personal stories of perseverance, career evolution and continuous learning.

Media & Entertainment Skills Council (MESC) partnered as the Industry Partner and Huion as the Technology Partner for Perspectives 2026, underscoring Arena Animation’s focus on building stronger industry‑academia linkages and enhancing experiential learning. The collaboration ensures students are exposed to evolving technologies, industry standards and career opportunities shaping India’s rapidly growing AVGC‑XR ecosystem.

Beyond the industry sessions, Perspectives 2026 transformed into a vibrant student festival featuring Arena’s Got Talent, a Cosplay Ramp Walk, interactive engagement activities, AI showcases and the popular Khau Gully Food Zone, giving students multiple platforms to celebrate creativity, collaboration and self‑expression.
