Bethlehem Kudumba Unit hits ₹76 crore worldwide; Nivin Pauly & Mamitha Baiju lead the run

Malayalam rom‑com Bethlehem Kudumba Unit has continued its strong run in theatres, posting a net collection of ₹6.90 crore on Monday, August 24, according to Sacnilk. The film, which stars Nivin Pauly and Mamitha Baiju, now boasts a four‑day India net total of ₹27.75 crore.

Directed by Girish A.D., the movie opened on Friday with ₹4.90 crore, climbed to ₹7.15 crore on Saturday, and peaked at ₹8.80 crore on Sunday. Monday’s take saw a 21.6 % dip from the previous day, yet the film’s cumulative earnings remain robust.

Across 1,825 shows on Day 4, the occupancy hovered around 64 %. In contrast, Sunday’s 1,781 shows enjoyed a 77 % occupancy. The overseas segment added an estimated ₹4 crore on Day 4, bringing the overseas gross to ₹44 crore.

With a worldwide gross of ₹76.40 crore after four days, the film’s performance underscores the star power of Pauly and Baiju. The storyline follows neighbours Ashley and Justin, whose budding romance faces family scrutiny and societal pressure.

The cast also includes Sangeeth Prathap, Suresh Krishna, Vinay Forrt, Roshan Shanavas, Shyam Mohan, Shameer Khan, Srinda, Parvathy Ayyappadas, Meenakshy Raveendran, Sreeranjini, Vineeth Viswam and Bindu Panicker. Production is handled by Dileesh Pothan, Fahadh Faasil and Syam Pushkaran under Bhavana Studios, with Girish A.D. and Kiran Josey co‑writing the screenplay. Vishnu Vijay composed the score, Ajmal Sabu shot the film, and Akash Joseph Varghese edited it.

As of Monday, the film’s India gross stood at ₹32.40 crore, while overseas earnings topped ₹44 crore, confirming a total worldwide take of ₹76.40 crore. Day 5 is underway on Tuesday, August 25, and will shed further light on the film’s first‑week trajectory.
