Sajid Khan to Direct Akshay Kumar Again; London Set for New Film

Filmmaker Sajid Khan is set to reunite with superstar Akshay Kumar for a new film, a collaboration that will mark their first on‑screen partnership in more than a decade. Sources close to the project confirmed that the director will once again helm a movie starring Kumar, with the production house already giving the green light.

According to the report, Sajid Khan is currently wrapping up Yashvardhan Ahuja’s debut film, Hero Ki Horrorine, which stars Nitanshi Goel. Once that project is complete, the director and Akshay Kumar are expected to head to London to begin shooting the new film.

The duo’s previous work together includes the comedy hits Heyy Babyy, Housefull and Housefull 2. Their partnership stalled in 2018 when Sajid Khan stepped down from directing Housefull 4 amid sexual harassment allegations that surfaced during the #MeToo movement. At the time, Kumar had said he would consider working with Khan again only if the filmmaker was cleared of the charges.

Now, as Sajid Khan gradually returns to directing with Hero Ki Horrorine—backed by Ekta and Shobha Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms and producer Amar Butala—both he and Kumar are reportedly moving forward with a new project. While the title, genre and supporting cast of the London‑set film remain undisclosed, the production house linked to the new venture is the same that has been associated with Khan’s recent work.

With this reunion, the director‑actor duo could open a fresh chapter in Bollywood’s comedy landscape, following the commercial success of their earlier collaborations.
