Actor Naga Chaitanya and actress Sobhita Dhulipala celebrated their union in a grand yet intimate Telugu ceremony on 4 December 2024 at Hyderabad’s Annapurna Studios. The wedding, surrounded by family and close friends, followed a traditional ritual that reflected Sobhita’s cultural roots and the couple’s shared love for their heritage.
Only two years after tying the knot, Sobhita opened up in a Vogue India interview about the reality of married life for two busy film stars. She recalled the excitement of her wedding and admitted she never imagined marrying an actor, saying, “I didn’t think I’d end up with someone who’s an actor or from my state, but I always wanted a wedding that had my culture’s nuances.”
Both partners have demanding schedules, and Sobhita revealed that in the first year of marriage she saw Naga Chaitanya only about once a month. She explained that she left for a 150‑day shoot in Tamil Nadu shortly after the December wedding, which kept the couple apart for long stretches. “We were still understanding this mix together,” she said, adding that they are now working to keep their connection healthy by prioritising what matters most.
The couple kept their romance private until 2022, when photos of them on vacation sparked speculation. They officially confirmed their engagement in August 2024 with a small ceremony in Hyderabad before celebrating their wedding a few months later. Their relationship had been kept out of the public eye, especially after Naga’s previous marriage to Samantha Ruth Prabhu ended in 2021.
Both stars are gearing up for new projects. Sobhita will appear in the Telugu crime thriller Cheekatilo and the upcoming Tamil sci‑fi drama Vettuvam, directed by Pa Ranjith. Naga Chaitanya is set to star in Vrushakarma, a film directed by Karthik Dandu and produced by BVSN Prasad and Sukumar, slated for a December release this year. Their busy schedules continue to shape their personal and professional lives, but the couple remains committed to maintaining a strong bond amid their hectic careers.
