When reporters asked her about Kangana’s recent comments, Taapsee replied in Hindi, “Aap khatam kyun nahi hone dete yeh baat? Koi question puchna hum dono se band karega jab yeh wala, toh yeh issue bhi khatam ho jayega.” She added, “Aap sab logon ko maza aa raha hai yeh sab dekh ke, isiliye wahi sawaal puch rahe hain. Aise sawaal puchna agar aap band kar dete, toh yeh baat kab ki khatam ho jati.” In plain English, Pannu urged the media to stop asking about the feud, arguing that the endless questions only keep the drama alive.
The quarrel between the two actresses dates back to 2019, when Kangana’s sister Rangoli Chandel called Pannu a “sasti copy” (cheap copy) of herself. The remark sparked a series of jibes that have resurfaced every few months. Pannu has repeatedly used the term in a playful way in interviews, while Kangana has responded with her own snide remarks, most recently on Instagram stories where she again called Pannu a “sasti copy” and criticized her for what she called a “B‑grade” film.
In a recent India Today interview, Pannu clarified that she has never met Kangana and that her opinions are shaped by her upbringing. She said, “I haven't met her. I didn't meet her before when these so-called issues started. I haven't met her now as well. My opinion on her is reflective of my upbringing and my way of talking, my way of perceiving things and hers… she stands by hers.” Pannu’s statement was a direct response to Kangana’s social media attacks and the ongoing media circus.
Kangana, meanwhile, has not shied away from calling out Pannu again. On Monday, she posted on Instagram stories that Pannu is “out and about with her upcoming B‑grade film” and accused her of “ridiculing my upbringing/parents.” She also criticized other actors such as Ashutosh Rana, Sonu Sood and Rakhi Sawant in the same post. The feud has now been reignited, but Pannu’s recent comments signal her desire to end the cycle and put an end to the media’s relentless questioning.
