Huma Qureshi Celebrates Eid with Family and Film Release; Sweet Traditions and New Outfits Shine

Huma Qureshi, who has been juggling a busy schedule of film promotions and shoots, took time to celebrate Eid‑Milad‑un‑Nabi with her family today, even as her new movie hit theatres on the same day. The actress said the holiday is a chance to pause, reflect, and enjoy the company of loved ones while also keeping her wardrobe polished and her appetite satisfied.

“Eid is about being around your loved ones, taking a moment to be grateful and, of course, dressing up and eating well!” Qureshi explained. She noted that this year’s festivities were especially meaningful because her film’s release coincided with the celebration, meaning she would be mixing a bit of work with a lot of joy.

The star emphasized that food is central to her Eid celebrations. She shared that she has a particular fondness for desserts and that, no matter how much is prepared, everyone still feels there should have been more. “I have a weakness for desserts, so I’m never going to say no to that,” she laughed.

When asked about her festive look, Qureshi said she loves dressing up for Eid. “I usually like wearing something elegant and traditional, with beautiful jewellery and a little bit of glam,” she said. She added that putting on a new outfit instantly lifts her mood and brings the festive spirit alive.

Reflecting on her childhood, the actress recalled that Eid used to be all about excitement, new clothes, Eidi, food, and meeting everyone. Today, she says she values the emotional aspects more: the time with family, prayers, gratitude, and the act of giving and sharing. “Life gets busier, especially with films and everything that comes with them, so these moments with family feel even more precious,” she added.

In a rapid‑fire segment, Qureshi revealed that she prefers a big family gathering over a quiet, intimate celebration, enjoying the noise, laughter, and chaos that come with it. She also highlighted Eidi as a tradition she and her partner, Saqib Saleem, look forward to, saying that one is never too old for Eidi. When asked about a special message she exchanges on Eid, she wished everyone peace, happiness, good health, and lots of love.

Qureshi said the first person she calls or wishes on Eid is her parents, followed by Saqib, underscoring that family always comes first for the actress.
