Cinema VinesIn a recent appearance in Indore, veteran actor and former Member of Parliament Paresh Raw Rawal addressed a gathering of reporters, urging India’s young generation to pursue their ambitions with caution and self‑reflection. The 71‑year‑old, known for his iconic role as Babu Bhaiya in the “Hera Pheri” series, warned that enthusiasm alone can lead to misdirection if young people are swayed by negative external influences.
Raw Rawal highlighted how several youth‑led movements in India have stalled or lost direction when they fall under the sway of misguided forces. He called on students, teachers and parents to adopt a more thoughtful approach, noting that the current education system requires significant improvement and a shift in mindset across all stakeholders.
During the talk, the actor referenced the recent controversy surrounding the alleged leak of the NEET‑UG question paper. He suggested that parents might have financed such illicit purchases, and urged them to refrain from supporting unfair practices. “Parents should also not support such unfair activities,” he said.
Beyond his social commentary, Raw Rawal shared his thoughts on his own career, expressing a desire to explore new roles beyond the stereotypical Babu Bhaiya character. He added that he would consider working in an OTT film if the script were compelling. The actor also spoke about his experience attending the convocation ceremony of the Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies in Indore, where he served as the chief guest and witnessed 340 students receiving degrees across commerce, law, technology, management and engineering faculties.
