Yet on Friday, August 21, it rebounded to ₹0.15 crore, and by Saturday, August 22, the earnings climbed to ₹0.95 crore. The Sunday of that week, August 23, marked a dramatic surge as the film collected ₹2.58 crore.
From there, the momentum never faltered. In its third week, Hanuman Ansh added ₹11.09 crore, and the fourth weekend brought another ₹30 crore, sending shockwaves through the trade. To date, the total collection stands at approximately ₹42 crore, a remarkable achievement for a production that cost only a few crores and was shot on a budget of just ₹10 lakh.
Word of mouth and strategic marketing have been cited as key drivers of the film’s success. Audiences have also noted that the movie concludes with a promise of a sequel, hinting at a larger narrative arc. The end credits even feature a slate announcing that the story of Neeb Karori Baba remains unfinished.
Following the film’s triumph, writer‑director Vishal Chaturvedi confirmed that work has already begun on the second installment. He explained that the sequel will focus on Neeb Karori Baba’s life in his birthplace, Firozabad, and will then explore his time in Agra, Mathura, and other locations. The director also revealed that Neeb Karori Baba’s family is based in Agra.
During a recent visit to a multiplex in Agra, the team interacted with viewers, and lead actor Shobhinaw Satyaa joined Chaturvedi for the event. The film was officially announced on February 20 of this year, with the makers stating that it would be part of a spiritual trilogy inspired by Chaturvedi’s own book, Divine Detour.
