On its opening weekend, the Tamil romantic comedy "Hi" starring Nayanthara and Kavin has amassed an estimated ₹5.60 crore in India’s net box‑office receipts, according to Sacnilk’s latest data. The film, which hit theatres on August 28, saw its earnings climb from ₹1.25 crore on Friday to ₹2.15 crore on Saturday and a final Sunday haul of ₹2.20 crore.

Occupancy figures mirrored the upward trend, with the movie’s share of seats rising to 47% on Sunday, up from 43.5% on Saturday and 33% on its debut day. Sacnilk noted that “Hi” was screened across 751 shows on Sunday, indicating a steady increase in audience turnout.

Directed and written by Vishnu Edavan, the film also features a supporting cast that includes K. Bhagyaraj, Radhika Sarathkumar, Prabhu, VTV Ganesh, Sathyan and Amrutha Srinivasan. Production credits list Vignesh Shivan, Nayanthara and SS Lalit Kumar, while music is composed by Jen Martin, cinematography by Rajesh Shukla and editing by Philomin Raj.
