The makers of the long‑awaited fourth installment of the high‑octane franchise have issued a statement to put rumours to rest, confirming that the cast has not yet been finalised. Production house Tips Films, which has overseen every entry in the series, took to Instagram to clarify the situation, urging the press and social media users to stop circulating unverified claims.
In the post, producer Ramesh Taurani wrote, “We would like to clarify that the cast of Race 4 has not yet been finalized. We sincerely request the media and social media pages to refrain from speculation and from engaging with or circulating any unverified or false news regarding the cast. Once the cast is finalized, we will make an official announcement from our end.” The message was aimed squarely at the latest speculation that superstar Aamir Khan would be joining the cast, alongside director Vijay Krishna Acharya, who has recently helmed the hit Thugs of Hindostan.
Rumours of a comeback for Akshaye Khanna, whose character met a fatal end in the first film, resurfaced in January. Taurani had previously denied any plans to bring the actor back, stating that his role was permanently concluded after the accident in the original movie and that there was no intention to rewrite the storyline to accommodate him.
Other potential leads, such as Sidharth Malhotra and Tiger Shroff, have also been mentioned in the media. Reports suggest that both actors have listened to the project’s narration, but neither has been officially confirmed. Until Tips Films releases a formal casting announcement, the lineup for Race 4 remains undecided.
