Mirzapur: The Movie has become the first Bollywood film to offer its soundtrack under Universal Music India’s ‘Hear It First’ model, giving premium subscribers early access. The album, released by Excel Music, was dropped ahead of the film’s September 4, 2026 theatrical debut, marking a new strategy for Hindi film music. The move aims to strengthen India’s paid music ecosystem while giving fans a reason to subscribe, as noted by Excel Entertainment’s CEO Vishal Ramchandani.
