Badshah and Isha Rikhi split; mutual decision to end marriage

Rapper‑singer Badshah and Punjabi actress Isha Rikhi announced on Monday, August 31, that they are ending their marriage. The couple issued a joint statement on Badshah’s Instagram Story, explaining that the decision was mutual and made with respect for one another. They also asked fans and the media to respect their privacy as they move forward separately.

In the statement, Badshah wrote, “I and Isha Rikhi have mutually decided to part ways and move forward on our separate paths. This decision has been made with mutual respect, and we request everyone to kindly respect our privacy during this time.” He added that the announcement would be the only public comment on the matter and urged that no further speculation or assumptions be made.

The news comes after weeks of speculation that had been fueled by an emotional post Isha shared on social media in July. In that post, she spoke of staying silent out of fear and feeling overwhelmed by her husband’s “influence, power, and resources.” She clarified that her silence was a survival tactic, not acceptance, and that she was now choosing courage over fear.

Badshah’s separation marks the end of his second marriage. He was previously married to Jasmine Masih, whom he met on Facebook and wed in 2012. The couple had a daughter, Jessemy Grace Masih Singh, born in 2017, and finalized their divorce in 2020, after which Badshah has continued to co‑parent the child.
