Cinema VinesGrammy‑winning composer Ricky Kej has unveiled a sweeping arena tour across India, titled Damrooh – Dance To The Cosmic Spirit. The series of shows will kick off in October and will travel through major entertainment hubs such as Bengaluru, New Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad and Chennai, with an expected cumulative audience of more than 30,000 people.
The tour is produced and promoted by live‑event leader Wizcraft, which has described the production as a “heartbeat” rather than a conventional concert. Kej explained that the Damaru, a drum symbolising the primal pulse of creation, inspired the show’s concept: a world where orchestral music, nature, indigenous sounds, global voices and electronic textures converge around that rhythm.
“Damrooh is not a concert, it is a heartbeat,” Kej said. “The Damaru has always represented the primal pulse of creation, and I wanted to build an entire world around that rhythm – one where orchestral music, nature and technology speak the same language.” He added that the tour is deeply personal and that performing in support of UNICEF, alongside musicians who have influenced his own journey, adds an extra layer of meaning.
According to the press release, the stage will function as a single, living instrument structured around five cosmic forces: orchestral instrumentation, indigenous world sounds, global voices, electronic textures, and the thematic element of nature. The setlist will mix reimagined signature pieces with new compositions, all anchored to the Damaru’s primal beat.
Sam Panchmukhi, Wizcraft’s National Creative Mentor, highlighted the tour’s ambition: “Damrooh reflects everything Wizcraft stands for as a live entertainment powerhouse – a show built to move audiences emotionally, not just visually.” He added that the production demands an entirely new language for the Indian arena circuit and expressed pride in bringing this scale, artistry and purpose to audiences across the country.
