Bethlehem Kudumba Unit rockets past ₹215 cr worldwide; Nivin Pauly & Mamitha Baiju lead the charge

On Tuesday, September 1, the Malayalam romantic‑comedy‑drama Bethlehem Kudumba Unit continued its theatrical run, adding ₹5.15 crore to its India net collection for Day 12, according to Sacnilk box‑office figures. The film, which opened on August 21, has now entered its second week and is showing in 2,309 screens across the country. Compared with the ₹6 crore earned on Monday, the Tuesday haul reflects a 14.2 % drop in India net earnings.

With the latest day’s business, the total India net collection has climbed to ₹93.60 crore, while the India gross stands at roughly ₹109.25 crore. Overseas, the film has taken in ₹4 crore on Day 12, bringing its cumulative overseas gross to ₹106 crore. The worldwide total, therefore, has reached ₹215.25 crore after 12 days, marking a historic milestone for the film as it continues into the second week.

The opening week saw a steady rise: India net collections began at ₹4.90 crore on Friday, rose to ₹7.15 crore on Saturday and ₹8.80 crore on Sunday, and settled at ₹6.90 crore on Monday. Tuesday and Wednesday each added ₹7.90 crore, and Thursday’s figure was ₹8.75 crore, giving a first‑week India net total of ₹52.30 crore. The second week opened with a jump to ₹9.55 crore on Friday, followed by ₹10.20 crore on Saturday and ₹10.40 crore on Sunday.

Directed by Girish A. D. and co‑written with Kiran Josey, Bethlehem Kudumba Unit stars Nivin Pauly and Mamitha Baiju as Ashley and Justin. The story follows their evolving relationship after Ashley moves into a new neighbourhood, and the couple faces scrutiny from friends and family as societal expectations loom. The cast also features Sangeeth Prathap, Suresh Krishna, Vinay Forrt, Roshan Shanavas, Shyam Mohan, Shameer Khan, Srinda, Parvathy Ayyappadas, Meenakshy Raveendran, Sreeranjini and Bindu Panicker.

The film is produced by Bhavana Studios, with Dileesh Pothan, Fahadh Faasil and Syam Pushkaran among the producers. Vishnu Vijay composed the music, Ajmal Sabu handled cinematography and Akash Joseph Varghese was the editor.
