Meena Kumari’s Pakeezah Restored to 4K Glory; Debuts at Lumière and BFI London

A 4K restoration of the 1972 classic Pakeezah, led by Film Heritage Foundation, will premiere at France’s Festival Lumière and then screen in London’s BFI IMAX. The project took two years to revive the damaged original negatives and color. The gala will feature director Shivendra Singh Dungarpur and Amrohi family members.
