Kartik Aaryan lands London shoot; recovering from injury to star in Captain India

Actor Kartik Aaryan has kicked off the shoot for Shimit Amin’s upcoming sports drama Captain India in London, marking a return to the set after a recent injury. The 31‑year‑old posted a travel photo on Instagram, holding a copy of the film’s draft and captioning it “VABB to EGLL ✈️ #CaptainIndia 🇮🇳,” a nod to his flight from Mumbai (VABB) to London (EGLL) where the production is now underway.

In the same post, Aaryan shared a glimpse of his injured foot, reminding fans of the knee surgery he underwent following an on‑set mishap during a stunt for his earlier collaboration with director Kabir Khan. The actor had been advised to take time off to recover, but he is now back on set, ready to portray a pilot in a story inspired by a historic evacuation mission.

“Captain India” is directed by Shimit Amin, known for hits such as Chak De! India and Rocket Singh: Salesman of the Year. The film is a joint venture between T‑Series, Baweja Studios and Dopamine Studios, and is slated for theatrical release on 13 August 2027.

With the London shoot in full swing, Aaryan’s social media update has generated buzz among fans eager to see the actor’s comeback and his performance in a role that promises high‑octane action and emotional depth.
