Rashmika hails Anand as a ‘green forest’; he gushes over his ‘vadinamma’

During the trailer launch of the upcoming film Epic in Hyderabad, actress Rashmika Mandanna, who is recovering from a hip injury, made headlines by praising her brother‑in‑law Anand Deverakonda. The event, held to promote Anand’s new project directed by Aditya Haasan, saw fans chanting “Ranabaali” and “Vijay Deverakonda” as Rashmika tried to speak. She paused, saying, “Ey, oka nimisham ra” and “Arey aagru ra,” before continuing her remarks.

When asked about love, Rashmika described it as partnership, commitment, and trust, adding a playful “Ade” when the audience interrupted her with Vijay’s name. The host then asked her to label Anand as a green or red flag; she responded that he is “a green forest” and praised his independent work, saying she would support whatever he chooses in life. She also mentioned Vijay’s gym routine and her jealousy after shooting the “Ranabaali” song with him.

Anand Deverakonda reciprocated the admiration, calling Rashmika his “vadinamma” (sister‑in‑law) and expressing pride in her support. He recalled the moment when fans shouted “vadinamma” during the release of Baby, and now, with confidence, he described her as his “vadina.” He shared that she often checks on him, noting his stress and offering encouragement, and that she was present at the film’s puja and the current trailer launch.

“Epic – First Semester” features Anand alongside Vaishnavi Chaitanya and Sivaji in leading roles. The film continues the story from the 90s‑era web series A Middle Class Biopic.
