Krystle D'Souza Saves Rida Tharana; Joint Winners Share ₹66 Lakh

Krystle D’Souza and Rida Tharana emerged as the joint champions of The Traitors Season 2, sharing a ₹66 lakh prize and a dramatic finale that saw the two traitors navigate a tense vote that could have ended their game in a single stroke. In the climactic episode, Krystle, who had been playing the traitor, held the power to decide whether Shalini Passi or Rida Tharana would be evicted. Writing Shalini’s name on the card would have removed her from the game, allowing Krystle to eliminate Shalini next and secure a solo victory. Instead, she chose to write Rida’s name, sparing her and setting the stage for a shared triumph.

In an exclusive interview with Hindustan Times, Krystle explained her decision to spare Rida, revealing a mix of strategy and sentiment. “I had told Rida, ‘We are winning!’ I had never told her once that I was winning. And I kept my word,” she said. Krystle admitted she had considered writing Rida’s name, but ultimately could not bring herself to do it, citing a sense of loyalty and an emotional bond that had formed during the show. “I could not convince myself to write her name at that time. How can I be such a dogla (two‑faced) human that I championed her and then wrote her name to get her out! I wouldn’t be able to live with myself,” she added. The traitor’s choice was framed as a gesture of respect for Rida’s performance as an innocent, who had “made such valid points on Kullu, and then on me, too.”

Rida, who had been blackmailed into becoming a traitor, shared that the two had each other’s backs throughout the series. She said she would have been fine if Krystle had written her name instead, calling the move “like a game of chess” and praising the unpredictability of the final decision. “Now that would be an amazing move! It is like a game of chess! Where you don't expect what the next move is! As a player, it would be just as good!” she remarked.

The Traitors Season 2, hosted by Karan Johar, is available on Amazon Prime Video. The show’s finale showcased the complex dynamics of alliance, betrayal, and strategy, culminating in a rare joint victory that left fans debating the ethics and tactics of the game. The ₹66 lakh cash prize will be split between Krystle D’Souza and Rida Tharana, marking a historic moment for the series and its audience.
