He said, “And many things have been written in the sky. I pray to the Mother that they are cleaned up and that I am able to clear them up.” The actor added, “I need your support and companionship. I need the same support and togetherness that I have seen here.” His remarks were widely interpreted as a plea for public backing as he seeks to clear the rumors that have clouded his reputation.
Govinda also thanked his fans for their unwavering support over the years, noting that he is preparing for a comeback with two new films, Roopa and Duniyadari. He emphasized that he hopes the situation will be resolved soon and urged supporters to continue standing by him. The actor’s comments came after a series of incidents that intensified the dispute, including an airport sighting of Govinda and Komal Rani Swarnkar together, which prompted Sunita to mock the alleged affair with a “sugar daddy” jab.
The couple married on March 11, 1987, and have two children, Tina and Yashvardhan. They kept their marriage private for the first four years of Govinda’s career as he rose to prominence in Bollywood. Despite the turmoil, Sunita reportedly withdrew her divorce petition amid growing public scrutiny, though the couple’s future remains uncertain.
