Girish AD’s Malayalam drama Bethlehem Kudumba Unit has begun to resonate beyond Kerala after its Tamil and Telugu releases drew warm responses from audiences in those regions. The film, backed by Bhavana Studios, has already proven a hit in Malayalam, and its expansion into South India’s major markets is now gaining traction.
Actor Kamal Haasan, who watched the film, took the initiative to congratulate the team. He met with director Girish AD, the producers and the cast, and praised their decision to bring the family‑entertainer to Tamil Nadu and the Telugu‑speaking areas. The star’s enthusiasm was evident as he spoke at length about the film’s subject and its appeal.
The distribution of the Tamil version is being handled by Future Runup Films, which is also responsible for the film’s theatrical release in Telangana. For the Telugu version, Future Runup has teamed up with Mythri Movie Makers, a prominent production and distribution house in the Telugu industry.
With the success of the Malayalam version and the positive reception in Tamil and Telugu markets, the makers plan to broaden the film’s theatrical run further. They aim to release it in more theatres outside Kerala in the coming days, continuing the trend of Malayalam movies reaching wider audiences across India.
