Malayalam star Nivin Pauly, alongside Mamitha Baiju, has taken the box‑office by storm with the Onam‑season release Bethlehem Kudumba Unit. The film, directed by Girish A D and produced by Dileesh Pothan, Fahadh Faasil and Syam Pushkaran under Bhavana Studios, has now crossed the ₹250‑crore mark worldwide after 16 days of theatrical run.
According to Sacnilk’s day‑wise figures, the movie earned a net ₹5.65 crore in India on Day 16 (September 5), a slight dip of about 8.1% from the previous day. Across 1,834 shows, the film maintained an overall occupancy of 66%, bringing its India net total to roughly ₹113.95 crore after 16 days. The third Friday saw a collection of ₹6.15 crore, while the second week added ₹49.85 crore, taking the cumulative India net to ₹102.15 crore after 14 days. The first week alone generated ₹52.30 crore.
Internationally, Bethlehem Kudumba Unit has collected around ₹4 crore on Day 16, pushing the overseas gross to approximately ₹117 crore. With an India gross of about ₹134.65 crore, the worldwide total reaches roughly ₹251.65 crore. The film’s overseas earnings continue to bolster its global standing.
Day 17, which began on Sunday, September 6, is still live. Early estimates show a net ₹1.41 crore from 742 shows in India, with a 69.0% occupancy. If these figures hold, the India net would rise to about ₹115.36 crore. The numbers remain provisional and could shift as more shows report.
The story follows Ashley, who returns to Kerala after time abroad and is drawn back to memories of Justin, a local caterer with whom she had a relationship before leaving. The ensemble cast includes Sangeeth Prathap, Suresh Krishna, Vinay Forrt, Roshan Shanavas, Shyam Mohan, Shameer Khan and Srinda, among others. Vishnu Vijay’s music, Ajmal Sabu’s cinematography and Akash Joseph Varghese’s editing round out the creative team.
