Endemol Shine India, a key arm of Banijay Entertainment, has once again set a new benchmark in Indian reality television by announcing the launch of Bigg Boss Season 20 across six languages on a single evening. The move, which coincides with the franchise’s 20th anniversary, marks the first time a reality show has been simultaneously broadcast in Hindi, Bangla, Kannada, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam, bringing fans of the show together in their own languages for the very first time.
The historic premiere is scheduled for September 6, 2026, with daily broadcasts at 9:00 PM on JioHotstar and 10:30 PM on Colors TV. In a groundbreaking twist, each language edition will feature its own host—Salman Khan for Hindi, Sourav Ganguly for Bangla, Kichcha Sudeep for Kannada, Nagarjuna Akkineni for Telugu, Vijay Sethupathi for Tamil and Mohanlal for Malayalam—who will appear on screen simultaneously alongside the Bigg Boss housemates of their respective versions.
Salman Khan will also return as the mentor for the coveted Weekend Ka Vaar episodes, a role he has held in previous seasons. The season promises a fresh lineup of contestants, heightened rivalries and a larger-than-life entertainment experience, with Endemol Shine India emphasizing that the show will deliver drama, strategy, emotion and blockbuster moments for viewers across the country.
Endemol Shine India’s decision to launch the show in six languages reflects its commitment to expanding its reach and delivering content that resonates with diverse audiences. The company’s track record of producing both scripted and non‑scripted blockbusters across television and digital platforms positions it to make Bigg Boss Season 20 a landmark event in Indian entertainment history.
