Cinema VinesManoj Bajpayee is set to become the first actor to bring Mahatma Gandhi to the silver screen, according to filmmaker Sudhir Mishra’s forthcoming project. The 2024 release is still largely shrouded in secrecy, but a recent image of Bajpayee in a Gandhi‑style appearance has already sparked online chatter about the actor’s dramatic transformation.
The photo shows Bajpayee sporting a beard, a shawl and other physical traits that align with the iconic freedom fighter. Viewers have taken to social media to debate how faithfully the actor captures Gandhi’s look and demeanor, with many praising the depth of his preparation.
