Cinema VinesActor Rajniesh Duggal has confirmed that a biopic on Physics Wallah teacher Pankaj Sijairya is in development, with the star slated to play the educator on screen. The film will be written and directed by James A., one of Sijairya’s former students, who has crafted the script that Duggal has already finished reading.
During an Instagram Live chat with Sijairya, Duggal revealed the project’s details and the special connection between the writer‑director and the teacher. He said, “I have a very interesting surprise for you, Pankaj sir. One of your students has actually written the film and asked me if I would like to play your role in it. So I said 100% that if there is something like this, I would absolutely want to be a part of it. In fact, I finished the script today, and it is written in a very interesting way.”
Sijairya, an Organic Chemistry teacher associated with the Physics Wallah platform founded by Alakh Pandey, has built a following by blending chemistry concepts with humor, relatable examples and shayari. The upcoming biopic will portray his life from the perspective of someone who has experienced his teaching firsthand.
In addition to Duggal, Esha Talwar has been cast as the female lead. The film remains in development, and further production and release dates are yet to be announced.
