Tonight marks the highly anticipated launch of Bigg Boss Tamil 10, with veteran actor Vijay Sethupathi stepping back into the role of host for the milestone season. The premiere, scheduled for Sunday, September 6, 2026, promises a carnival‑themed opening that hints at a more vibrant format and an increased focus on surprise twists within the house.
One of the most talked‑about changes this season is the introduction of commoners into the competition. For the first time in the Tamil version, three non‑celebrity participants—Shama, Jason, and Munniyama—have been selected through the pre‑show series Bigg Boss Common Man. They will compete alongside familiar faces, adding a fresh dynamic to the show.
The grand premiere also features a unique twist: more than 30 contestants will appear on stage, but nine of them will be eliminated before entering the Bigg Boss house. These eliminations will be decided by audience votes cast from the sets, adding an interactive layer to the launch. Speculation has already begun about who will be sent home first, with Shabnam reportedly the first to be eliminated.
In total, 19 contestants will ultimately enter the house. The celebrity lineup includes Lakshmi Priya, Shathiga, Asmitha Neelamegam, Prithvinath, Muthazhagi, Avinash Ashok, Black Pandi, Vinoth Babu, Javith, Dhanya Pallath, Chandini Tamilarasan, Kumaran, Mukesh MK, Raghav Ragunathan, Ansar, and Saran. Together with the three commoners, they will battle it out for the title and a grand prize.
As the premiere unfolds, viewers are invited to share which contestant they support for the season. With Vijay’s charismatic hosting, a carnival atmosphere, and the bold inclusion of commoners, Bigg Boss Tamil 10 promises to deliver drama, surprise, and entertainment in equal measure.
