Cinema VinesSalman Khan has once again taken the helm of India’s most watched reality show, Bigg Boss, for its 20th season, bringing with him a fresh roster of celebrities, influencers and familiar faces that promise to stir up drama and delight fans. The new season, themed “Tathastu” – meaning “stay” – gives contestants a double opportunity to survive the house, adding an extra layer of suspense to the familiar format.
Among the most talked‑about entrants is Rhiti Tiwari, the daughter of former Bigg Boss 4 star Manoj Tiwari. Rhiti, a singer, songwriter, composer and producer, has carved out a niche on platforms like YouTube and Spotify with tracks such as “Baarish,” “Maansik Santulan,” “Jhoothi Baby” and “Ghum Chuke.” She follows in her father’s footsteps by entering the house, but this time she will not be competing for the trophy; instead, her father will make a special appearance to see her off as she steps into the controversial reality arena.
The lineup also features Kanika Mann, best known for her role as Guddan in the television serial “Guddan Tumse Na Ho Payega.” Kanika has appeared in other shows such as “Roohaniyat” and “Chand Sifarish,” and has ventured into reality TV with “Khatron Ke Khiladi 12.” She has recently captivated audiences with her portrayal of a dragon in Ekta Kapoor’s “Naagin 7,” acting opposite Priyanka Chahar Choudhary.
Actor Aasif Khan joins the house after a successful stint in theatre and a string of notable roles in web series like “Mirzapur,” “Paatal Lok,” and “Panchayat.” His portrayal of Ganesh, nicknamed ‘Damad Ji,’ earned him widespread acclaim, and he has also appeared in films such as “Pagglait,” “The Great Indian Family,” and “Kakuda.” Aasif’s emotional reunion with Salman Khan during the grand premiere added a touching moment to the season’s launch.
The season also brings the Kashmiri singer Qazi Tauqueer, who first rose to national prominence in 2005 after winning “Fame Gurukul” alongside Ruprekha Banerjee and sharing a season with Bollywood singer Arijit Singh. Qazi has since explored acting and continues to be a recognizable face in Indian reality television.
