Aishwarya Madhu lands Bigg Boss spot; radio star steps into reality house

Aishwarya Madhu has stepped into the Bigg Boss Malayalam 8 house during the grand premiere that aired on Sunday, September 6, marking her debut as a contestant on the popular reality show. The actress‑turned‑radio professional, who has built her career behind the mic, joins the season’s roster of diverse personalities, which includes actors, television hosts, social media creators and other public figures.

Madhu’s background is rooted firmly in radio. She worked as a programme producer at Club FM, gaining experience on the production side of broadcasting, before becoming a radio jockey for Radio Mirchi. Her tenure as an RJ allowed her to connect directly with listeners, honing her on‑air presence and audience engagement skills. Despite her radio credentials, she was relatively unknown to the broader public before entering the Bigg Boss house.

Her entry into the reality show signals a shift from the studio to a format that requires contestants to live together and navigate a series of challenges and interpersonal dynamics inside the house. Alongside Madhu, another radio personality, RJ Anjali, has also joined the house, making the season the first to feature two contestants from the radio space.

The season’s grand premiere has highlighted the variety of backgrounds represented, with participants chosen through the show’s selection process, including the Agni Pareeksha segment. As the episodes progress, viewers will see how Madhu’s radio experience translates into the high‑stakes environment of Bigg Boss, offering a fresh perspective on her personality beyond her on‑air work.
