Dulquer Salmaan’s latest Malayalam venture, I’m Game, has finally hit the screens after a postponed Onam release, debuting on September 3. The film, which follows a high‑stakes gambler whose fortunes take a dramatic turn, opened to a mixed critical reception but managed a solid first‑day haul of ₹5.40 crore, according to Sacnilk.
However, the second day saw a dip to ₹4.90 crore, and Saturday and Sunday each brought in ₹4.35 crore, bringing the four‑day net collection to ₹19 crore and a gross of ₹22.20 crore across 2,190 shows. The bulk of the revenue has come from the Malayalam market, where Sunday alone yielded ₹3.10 crore.
In the Hindi‑speaking regions, I’m Game faces stiff competition from Hanuman Ansh and Mirzapur: The Movie, both of which have maintained double‑digit daily earnings. Despite this, the film is inching closer to the lifetime total of Khalifa: The Ruler, which stands at ₹21 crore, but remains far behind Bethlehem Kudumba Unit, which has netted ₹123.41 crore.
Directed by Nahas Hidhayath and co‑written with Sajeer Baba, Ismail Aboobacker and Bilal Moidu, I’m Game is produced by Salmaan and Jom Varghese under Wayfarer Films. The cast features Salmaan alongside Antony Varghese, Mysskin, Kayadu Lohar, Samyuktha Viswanathan, Kathir, Vinay Forrt and Parth Tiwari.
Salmaan’s return follows the 2023 release King of Kotha, which fell short of expectations, earning ₹17.54 crore against a ₹50 crore budget. I’m Game aims to recoup that loss and re‑establish the actor’s standing in Malayalam cinema.
