Cinema VinesRanveer Singh has once again turned heads, this time with a new look that fans are comparing to his iconic Dhurandhar style. In a leaked clip from the set of the upcoming zombie epic Pralay, the superstar is seen sporting long hair reminiscent of his Hamza character, while carrying a young girl on his back. Beside him walks co‑star Kalyani Priyadarshan, who appears in a brown tank top and green trousers, giving the footage a gritty, on‑set vibe.
The clip, which has already gone viral on social media, shows the pair in a dynamic pose that hints at the action‑packed tone of the film. Comments from fans ranged from praise for Singh’s “UNREAL” appearance to comparisons with the video game The Last of Us and the television series The Walking Dead. One viewer noted that the actor’s body language differs markedly from his Dhurandhar role, highlighting his versatility.
“Pralay is a mega‑budget zombie film,” said director Jai Mehta, who is also co‑produced by Hansal Mehta’s True Story Films and Ranveer Singh’s own Ma Kasam Films. With an estimated budget of ₹300 crore, it would rank among the most expensive Bollywood productions ever. The film, which stars Singh and Priyadarshan, is still in production and has no confirmed release date.
Earlier reports suggested that Pralay might be an adaptation of José Saramago’s novel Blindness. However, Hansal Mehta clarified that the story is original, written by Jai and Vishal Kapoor. He explained that adapting works by authors like Saramago or Salman Rushdie can dilute the magic of the source material.
Ranveer Singh’s previous film, Dhurandhar: The Revenge, crossed the ₹1,000 crore mark at the domestic box office, becoming the first Bollywood film to achieve that milestone. With the buzz generated by the leaked set footage, expectations for Pralay are already high among his fan base.
