Cinema VinesDuring a concert in Milan, Punjabi superstar Diljit Dosanjh was seen welcoming a foreign couple onto the stage, but his attention was quickly drawn to a custom‑printed T‑shirt worn by a fan. The shirt displayed the Sikh symbol Ik Onkar alongside Diljit’s name, a pairing the singer gently challenged.
In a clip that has circulated online, Diljit placed his hand over the shirt and, speaking in English, told the couple, “This is God… This is very special… and my name together, no, no.” He explained that the Ik Onkar symbol is sacred and should not be combined with his own name. The singer then switched to Punjabi, saying, “I respect your feelings. Inhe pata nahi, maaf kar do please… Ek Onkar, mere walon saare ek ne,” meaning he respects them but believes everyone is one under the divine name.
After the brief correction, Diljit offered the couple a gift as a gesture of goodwill. Fans who watched the video praised his humility, with comments such as “He is so humble. That is why he is at the highest heights… Bless him,” and “You are a very good soul, Diljit.”
The concert was part of Diljit’s ongoing Europe tour. He had recently performed in Prague, where he explored the city by boat, and was also in Berlin. His next stop is Amsterdam on September 7, after which he will continue to cities including London, Birmingham and Manchester.
In addition to his music, Diljit is a successful actor. He recently appeared in Honey Trehan’s film Satluj, which was halted in India, and in Imtiaz Ali’s critically acclaimed Main Vaapas Aaunga. Earlier, he starred in the war drama Border 2, alongside Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan and Ahan Shetty, directed by Anurag Singh.
