Cinema VinesKrishnavataram: Part 1 – Hridayam, the opening chapter of a planned trilogy, is poised to broaden its global footprint thanks to a new partnership between Creativeland Studios and the World Forum for Art and Culture (WFAC), the international cultural arm of The Art of Living. The collaboration was formalised on Janmashtami in the presence of Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, founder of The Art of Living, and a memorandum of understanding was signed to guide the film’s worldwide presentation and the development of the full trilogy.
The immediate goal of the alliance is to launch Krishnavataram: Part 1 – Hridayam in cinemas around the world, targeting Indian diaspora communities and audiences across multiple markets in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and English. Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar explained the film’s vision, saying, “Krishna means the most attractive the Self. It is the divinity that is the most attractive; the energy that pulls everything to it. When you realise your life and the whole world is just a Leela (play), then Krishna is born inside you.”
Producer Dr. Sajan Raj Kurup expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, “With the blessings of Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, who has nurtured the entire world with his grace and transformed the lives of millions, this film finds its best place at the feet of Gurudev. With Krishnavataram, we take pride in taking every bit of Indian culture to the world and presenting our cultural beliefs, which are a fundamental part of our very existence. Our vision is to build Krishnavataram into a global cultural movement that celebrates cinema, art, and legacy.”
Beyond theatrical releases, the makers anticipate exploring a range of formats—including series, music, live experiences, games, education and other cultural initiatives—under the WFAC umbrella. Founded in September 2020, WFAC aims to unite artists, performers and art enthusiasts worldwide around Gurudev’s “One World Family” ethos and the principle of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam.
The Creativeland Studios and WFAC collaboration is expected to provide a platform for re‑imagining Krishna’s story through contemporary artistic expressions while staying rooted in Indian traditions. For now, the international theatrical rollout of Krishnavataram: Part 1 – Hridayam marks the first step in this partnership, with the filmmakers already planning to bring the project to global audiences while continuing work on the remaining two parts of the trilogy.
