Playback singer‑composer Madhubanti Bagchi has confirmed her first national tour, titled “This Is Who We Are,” set to run from late 2026 to early 2027. The series, produced and promoted by Perfect Harmony Productions, will take her to major Indian cities including Hyderabad, Pune, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Delhi and Mumbai.
The tour promises a two‑hour set that blends Bagchi’s Hindustani classical roots—trained under the Agra Gharana—with contemporary pop flair. Fans can expect live renditions of her chart‑topping hits such as “Aaj Ki Raat” from Stree 2, “Uyi Amma” from Azaad, “Shararat,” “Ramba Ho” from Dhurandhar, “Nazariya Ki Maari” from Heeramandi, the high‑energy “Peelings” from Pushpa 2: The Rule – Hindi, the dance anthem “Barbaadiyan” from Shiddat and the indie‑pop favorite “Ishq Hai” from Mismatched.
Bagchi emphasized that the concerts will be 100% live, with no lip‑syncing and backed by a full orchestral band. She said, “Performing live is where music truly comes alive for me, and this debut tour is the culmination of everything I’ve worked toward. For years, people have connected with my voice through movie screens and streaming playlists, but ‘This Is Who We Are’ is about breaking down that digital wall. I’ve waited a long time to look my fans in the eye and share this energy with them and it’s going to be an unforgettable, completely live celebration.”
In line with an “anti‑viral” approach to artistic integrity, the tour will also drop VIP seating to promote equal access for all attendees. Special student passes will begin at an affordable Rs. 499. The initiative is a tribute to Bagchi’s late grandfather, whose unreleased dream was for a professional musician to emerge from their family line.
Abhinav Kumar Upadhyay, Managing Director of Perfect Harmony Productions, praised the artist’s role in shifting India’s live music scene: “Madhubanti Bagchi represents a rare, generational shift in the live music landscape. Over the last 25 years, our mission has always been to elevate pure musical excellence. Her ability to anchor a massive commercial production while maintaining the soul of classical fusion is exactly what live audiences have been craving. This tour isn’t just a series of concerts; it’s a high‑production celebration of where Indian music is heading.”
