Suriya’s ‘Vishwanath And Sons’ Heads to Netflix; Expected Launch on Sept 11

Suriya’s latest venture, the Tamil‑Telugu drama “Vishwanath And Sons,” has wrapped its theatrical run and is set to hit Netflix in the coming weeks. The film, directed by Venky Atluri, opened in cinemas on August 14, 2026, and now the focus has shifted to its digital debut.

The story follows an industrialist whose world turns upside down when his son is diagnosed with a serious illness. The crisis forces him to reconnect with the woman who had served as his child’s surrogate mother, creating a tense emotional core that blends family drama with romantic threads. The narrative explores how circumstances shape relationships and the difficult choices people must make.

The cast is led by Suriya, joined by Mamitha Baiju, Radhika Sarathkumar and Raveena Tandon in pivotal roles. Production was handled by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya under Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas, with Srikara Studios presenting. The technical team includes composer G. V. Prakash Kumar, cinematographer Nimish Ravi, editor Navin Nooli, production designer Banglan, fight master VVenkat, and choreographer Sekhar VJ.

Netflix has secured the post‑theatrical streaming rights and plans a multilingual release in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi. While the platform has not yet issued an official announcement, reports suggest the film will go live on September 11, 2026. Fans are advised to wait for Netflix’s confirmation, as the date could change.
